collagen matcha latte
I don’t really like coffee, but I love matcha. I love to make a collagen matcha latte in the morning after breakfast! It’s blood sugar-balancing, warming, and energizing!
Matcha is extremely beneficial for overall health; matcha is high in antioxidants, is great for the liver, boosts cognitive abilities, may help prevent cancer, and is linked to a lower risk of cardiovascular disease!
Ingredients:
1-2 tsp matcha powder (my favorites are DOMatcha, Nekohama, and Pique)
14 oz filtered water
one scoop collagen (I love live-conscious collagen peptides)
ceylon cinnamon
almond milk (I love MALK and Three Trees)
optional: 2 tsp coconut butter
optional: 2 tsp maca powder
optional: a tsp of raw honey
Method:
start by heating your water in a tea kettle or pot to <175 degrees F
in a mug, add matcha, cinnamon, maca, and optional coconut butter
pour around 4 oz water into the mug
using a whisk or spoon, mix ingredients and water together, working out any clumps
add collagen and optional honey
add the rest of the water and stir well until everything is combined
top it off with some frothy almond milk (I just shake the almond milk bottle really well)
sprinkle some cinnamon on the top

Ceylon cinnamon - antioxidants, manganese, beta-carotene, vitamin A, vitamin K, potassium, zinc, magnesium, cinnamaldehyde
Collagen - protein: amino acids (proline, glycine and hydroxyproline)
Coconut butter - medium-chain fatty acids, fiber, potassium, magnesium, iron
