My name is Bella Kalkbrenner. Having struggled with disordered eating and anxiety rooted in a misunderstanding of my body, there was a time when I felt utterly trapped. With a goal of external perfection, I was stuck in a constant cycle of shame and confusion surrounding myself and the meaning of “health.”
My breakthrough came as I learned about holistic health and broadened my perspective of whole-body wellness. As I began to understand more about my body and its functions, I was fascinated by all the factors that affect overall well-being. My body, which had before been a subject of shame and confusion, became filled with intricate systems, functions, vital organs, and hormones.
Understanding our hormones, their effects, and what impacts them is essential to gaining control over our health. With an understanding of the WHY and the root cause behind everything we do and feel, we can go forward and experience life, making informed, sustainable, and wholesome decisions.
I believe there is insufficient education concerning natural and holistic health readily and easily available. Instead of being taught about our hormones and the inner workings of our bodies, we are often bombarded by fear and shame-mongering diets, misinformation, and trends based on ideals of perfection.
I aim to provide young women with insight, education, and tangible tips from a holistic health perspective. With a focus on hormonal and holistic health, I want to help women build a solid foundation of vital knowledge and self-love. With awareness and self-understanding comes the power and foresight to endure and heal in the future.
